Tile + Stone groups the catalog by product type, so you can start from the material and the format rather than the room. Porcelain tile is the largest group, running from 18x18 through 24x24, 24x48 and 48x48. XL porcelain slabs take the same idea to 48x108 panels. Wood look porcelain planks arrive in 8x48 and 9x60, and structure porcelain tile adds molded relief faces. On the vertical side there is ceramic and porcelain wall tile, structure wall tile with three-dimensional surfaces, and wall strips for banding and trim.
Smaller pieces and accents sit in mosaic sheets, ceramic decor tiles, porcelain decor tiles and glass decor tiles, while step tread tiles finish stair nosings. Work down from format first: settle the size and thickness the substrate can carry, then pick the surface. Matte hides water spots, polished and lappato read brighter under light, and structure faces throw a shadow that changes through the day. Rectified edges allow a tighter grout joint than pressed tile, which needs a wider joint to absorb size variation between pieces.
Because these groups are organized by material, one design often repeats across several sizes and can be carried between floor and wall in the same project. Filter by white or gray and silver to hold a palette across a run of rooms, or by modern style to keep the detailing consistent.
