The Metallic collection brings together 92 porcelain, ceramic and glass tiles with a metal-look or shimmering surface: gold, silver, bronze and graphite tones that catch and throw light rather than absorb it. Several ranges combine white-body ceramic with colored stainless steel for a genuine metal face rather than a printed one.
Surfaces that carry the effect
The shimmer comes from the finish as much as from the color. Look for matte-with-glimmer, shiny, polished and lappato surfaces: the Grigia Gold hexagon decor is a good example of how a metallic face reads differently as you move past it, and the Color Vibe range applies the same principle across larger porcelain formats. Grunge and Elle wall tiles in 13x36 carry the effect over a bigger face in matte, glossy and semi-matte.
Formats
Patterns include rectangular, square, hexagon, rhombus, chevron, strip and mosaic. Sizes range from small decor pieces and mosaic sheets up to 24x24 and 24x48 porcelain in matte and lappato. Wall strips let you run a thin metallic line through an otherwise plain field, which is often the most cost-effective way to use this palette.
Where to use metallic tile
Filters cover backsplash, kitchen wall and floor, bathroom wall and floor, shower wall and floor, commercial floor, outdoor wall, pool and general wall tile. Metallic surfaces tend to work best as an accent, a backsplash, a shower niche or a band of mosaic, rather than across a whole room. On floors, choose a lappato or matte finish over a polished one for grip, and check the production type, as both rectified and non-rectified tiles appear in this range.
