Zimba Black is a 12x24
stair tread tile in unglazed coloured-body porcelain, matte, structured and rectified at 8 mm. Unglazed coloured body is the useful part on a stair: the colour runs through the tile, so a chip on the nosing shows the same black rather than a pale core. Wear is measured as volume loss under 110 mm³ rather than on the PEI scale, which only applies to glazed tile. It carries an R10 B slip rating from the barefoot wet-ramp test, is frost resistant, and is rated for residential wall and floor use and for commercial floors. As a
black stone look step tile it is the darkest tread in the range.
