Travertine Look Porcelain Tile for Floors and Walls
The Travertino range reproduces quarried travertine — its layered bedding, soft pitting and warm beige tone — in rectified porcelain. Everything here is the same beige colorway in a matte finish, so pieces from different formats sit together without a shade break. Field sizes run 24x24, 32x32, 24x48, 48x48 and large-format 48x108. Two matching step treads, 12x24 and 12x48, close the front edge of a stair or a level change, and a 13x13 basketweave mosaic pairs matte beige with a polished brown for a traditional stone-floor pattern at a smaller scale.
Choosing Travertine Look Tile
The practical argument for porcelain over quarried travertine is maintenance. Real travertine is porous and needs sealing, and its natural voids have to be filled; this reproduces the look with low water absorption and no sealing routine. Format drives how convincing it reads: the larger the tile, the fewer joints interrupting the bedding pattern, which is why 48x48 and 48x108 suit open floors. Rectified edges allow a narrow grout joint — choose a grout close to the beige rather than a contrasting one, since travertine floors read as a continuous surface rather than a grid. Order a $1 sample first, as beige shifts noticeably between daylight and warm indoor lighting.
Where to Use Travertine Look Tile
Matte porcelain in these sizes works on entry floors, kitchens, living areas and bathroom floors, and on walls where the same tone is wanted floor to ceiling. The step treads make stairs and sunken rooms straightforward to finish without cutting a bullnose from a field tile — see the wider step tile range for other options. The basketweave mosaic suits shower floors, niches and border bands where extra grout joints add grip. For related warm neutrals, see beige and cream tile, and for the full porcelain range, porcelain tile.
